Amazing Apple Prairie Crunch

Amazing Apple Prairie Crunch that I So, want to make. What do you do when you are limited in your activities due to foot surgery? Well, crazy as I am, it’s time to cook. I wanted to make something warm, fresh out of the oven for dessert. So, I thought and decided to make my favorite Apple Prairie Crunch with that. Well, then I thought, how can I make this because I am not supposed to stand on my foot for a long time? So, I grabbed the Apples, a bowl, a knife, and the dish I was baking it in. And off I went to the living room, put my foot up, and started peeling the apples. But, I am determined, and I got the apples peeled and ready to bake. I hope you will enjoy this after my journey of making my Apple Prairie Crunch.

The next part was the hardest for me, getting all the ingredients out for the topping. Well, away I went, grabbed the ingredients, put them on the counter, and prepared it to get ready to make. Then I had to take a break, just saying. Well, now I’m off and running, mixed everything together put it, and went in the oven. Break time while cooking with a glass of some fine wine.

I Hope you enjoy this amazing Apple Prairie Crunch!

Amazing Apple Prairie Crunch

APPLE PRAIRIE CRUNCH:
Six large apples, peeled and cut into slices (I use more as I have a big round dish I use). I use either Cortlands or Macintosh Apples.
A 1/2 cup sugar dash of salt
and a 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1 cup flour
1/2 cup melted butter
Place the apples in an ungreased 12 x 7 baking dish (I use a 12 inch round stoneware dish). Sprinkle with the sugar; again, I use more apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Combine the brown sugar, flour, and melted butter (it should be crumbly). Sprinkle that over the apple mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes, depending on your oven. I serve mine warm and with vanilla ice cream. I hope you enjoy the recipe.
